The men had gone out for a drink at the city's Jailhouse Rock pub wearing crop-tops, puffy mini-skirts and blonde wigs.

But a fight broke out after the drag queens got into a dispute with a group of men at the bar.

One brawler had a chair smashed over his pigtails as other pub-goers dived for cover.

A police spokesman told The Mirror: 'It looked like a scene from a Carry On movie with these busty blondes fighting these blokes.

Oh, another thing - stick to black or orange (if you can find the same dusk as the colour in your dress) and NO patterns since your dress already has one, otherwise you are going to look really other-worldly. Remember that the Mods were rather elegant in their own right - fashion became psychedalic only a few years later, when the Mod action had pretty much died down.
