Is it really worth it to buy a Louis Vuitton bag?

And I am often told that LV is a deathless bag that I can use and pass on to my children with proper care. But I find it sort of overrated and overpriced for a laminated canvas bag.

So what do you mark? If you have the budget, what designer/luxury bag would be your first buy?

I would acquisition a bag with good material like leather. Like you said, the LV is overpriced for a canvas bag.

Since this is your first buy, I brook like you would want something that announces that it is designer: you can do the print of Burberry, Fendi/Gucci monogram, or the look of a Balenciaga. But my view is don't spend that much money on a bag unless you're sure you love it. You can always buy something like Coach until you find the one!
