How to remove ball point ink from a faux leather handbag?

Jo pol asked: I recently purchased a new basque handbag, but the only one left side in stock had a ball point pen mark right across the front. I bought it discounted conclusion i would be able to remove the mark, however i have had no luck.
i have tried everything from nail polish remover, hairspray, perfume, discomfiting spot remover, jiff, gumption, clearisil, bleach, tea tree oil, eucalyptus oil, vinegar, posy and wipe, but nothing seems to remove the stain.
does anyone have any ideas??

lydiah s answered: plaits spray spray it on the stain let it dry and with a wet wash cloth wipe it slowly but grim until it comes off then wipe the wet spot quick with a paper towel

I think the tinge stain is from my jeans where it has rubbed off ..its very light and you can only notie it when in without interference sunlight but i do not want ti ruin bag by using wrong product or method on cleaning . Guci recomend you dont Dry chaste these types of bags ..
