For the second consecutive year, the Zephyrhills senior softball all-stars are Little League District 25 champions. On July 17, they will need victories in two sectional games at Haines City to advance to the state tournament. Last year, the team won both sectional games, eventually finishing sixth in the state.

Possible "Surprise" Teams in 2009?

Matt Ryan: Future NFL HOF asked: Which teams do you cogitate on will make a good turnaround this season? Last year, it was Atlanta, Miami,Baltimore, and Arizona in a way. I gape who is qualified to surprise everyone this year. Here are my predictions.

Buffalo Bills: They went 7-9 last year with out T.O. I recollect this year, their offense is going to be very dangerous. If you're playing defense, you must find a way to contain both Lee Evans and TO and I come up with most defenses will fail to do that. Expect them to make some noise this year.

New Orleans Saints: They have the greatest QB in the league in Drew Brees. This off season, they improved parts of their defense and if the defense lives up to the expectations and Drew Brees does what he does conquer, then most teams will fear them this year.

Kansas City Chiefs: They were 2-14 last year. They played 8 games competitively. They should have won those games, but unfortunately, they were unlucky. If they had won them, then they would have had 8-10 wins and that would have been enough to win that apportionment. So, now even though, they got rid Tony Gonzalaz, I think they have a decent team. Matt Cassel is their QB and they did add some key players to their defense. The WRs are alright and they have a constant game. And they got a new coach. Todd Hailey isn't screwing around. He is being pretty tough on them unlike all the other coaches they've had recently. I over he will send the message to the team.. With everything they have done this off season, I think they will be contenders for at least the AFC West rubric next year.

I would also like to say the Niners, but they don't have a QB that has proven himself yet. But anyway, the Chiefs, Bills, and the Saints are the teams to babysit for this year. I'm smelling a possible playoff appearance for them.
I also might want to add in the Texans. If everyone stays bracing and the defense plays well, then they will also be a threat.

All we need is to sign a big power running back to give the ball on 3rd downs and goaline like Duece McCalister or Najeh Davenport and we will have THE greatest running game in the NFL. Also Matt Shuab is healthy so him Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels ashould attack an good passing game. On the defensive side of the ball we only got better adding DE Will Smith to the lineup so he and Mario Williams can manufacture some major pressure in the backfield to help out corner Dunta Robinson (injured last year). And one of hour few weaknesses last year was OLB but we solved that fine kettle of fish by drafting OLB Brian Cushing.
