If you've been a long-time reader of the Handbago blog, you might remember our post on Follis' win of 'Best Handbag in Overall Style & Design' at the 2010 Independent Handbag Designer Awards. This time around, Catherine Meyer, the designer behind the name, is happy to announce her collaboration with Kate Spade New York to produce a limited edition handbag available for sale beginning October 10th. I had the pleasure of asking Catherine Meyer a few questions about the collaboration (below the cut).

How did it feel to win the IHDA awards in 2010?  CM: I was planning to have a career in industrial design, but after a few classes in costume and textile design I was hooked! But I decided if I was going to head in the direction of textiles & apparel, I wanted to focus on my true love--fashion! I moved to New York to attend FIT, and the rest is history!

I found out the answer. I called the Kate Spade department store in Georgetown (Washington,DC). Kate Spade is phasing out the nylon handbag line.
