Just mix it with some water and put it on the purse for a little bit and see if the spatter starts to lift. If it does, wait a little longer until the stain is gone and then drenching it off. It the stain isn't new, it will be harder to remove. I'm suggesting the oxy clean because when someone spilled red wine on one of my purses it down to the ground took the stain out, but I did it almost right away after it happened.
